At this stage we’ll work together and gather what is needed to move forward.
Any questions please feel free to ask
Next we will set up a system for managing files like pictures, Word documents and other content for your website. We’ll also setup and create a system of communication that will help us stay organized along the way.
There are numerous programs available for project management. We prefer using Trello which is great for keeping track and communication
If and when it is necessary there is also DropBox if the need arises to send larger files. Using a system like this alleviates stress and confusion that is often caused by disorganized emails and where and when your files were sent or received. It’s all part of having a good overall experience during the design process and well worth the effort.
Designing a website, no matter the size, is an extensive process that can be overwhelming. I’ve outlined my process into 3 steps: Click below for the list:
A large and time consuming part of website design is in the layout, structure and design of the site. I’ll create the framework of the website and will send the homepage and a sub-page (or more upon request) for approval.
Once the site layout and design is approved, I’ll move forward with the designing of all pages, functionality and responsive code, making sure your site looks great and functions nicely across all devices and web browsers.
Once the site is ready for final review, you’ll be able to review each page and we can make detailed edits until the site is revised completely.
When we are through editing and everyone is happy, we prepare to go live with your new website. This is a very exciting time and I understand you’ll be a bit nervous about what happens next. So here’s a breakdown to help!
Your website logins, all credentials and files will be sent to you via basecamp or email insuring the security of your passwords and content. Though your logins and passwords will be saved locally, PLEASE SAVE ALL LOGINS FOR YOUR RECORDS AS WELL. We will keep backups in case…
Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to my “moving forward” process where you’ll receive tips and tricks on marketing your new website and also information on our Maintenance/Security Plan which I highly recommend for all my clients. Last but not least, enjoy the prosperity of your website!
