Veronika Logar was born in 1973 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
She is coming from a well known Slovenian artist family. Her grandfather was an author of an iconic fresco of the Yugoslav history that can be find at the entering hall of the plenary session room of the National Parliament. Her father and mother are many times awarded artist painters, ‘married’ with fine arts.
Veronika Logar couldn’t fall far from the family tree. After fashion design secondary school she entered the Academy of Fine Arts, graphic design study. In summer ’99 during her solitude summer holidays at the Adriatic sea she felt in love with water tempera. Her passion for the beauty of the untouched nature was stamped on to the paper. As one critic once wrote: The curiosity, love for water colors and ability to draw a vivid expression of the nature made her an excellent modern painter.
As a profound artist she had to experience further. After water colors, for an artist there is a whole new world. The world of oil. Starting with still composition you can find her now painting children portraits and personalized images of an everyday life that surrounds us.
